The work that we do in relation to storybook creation is purposeful and intentional work. We understand the implications of Parental Incarceration on children. The article discusses the importance of linking theory and bibliotherapeutic principles to the framework of storybook development. Children's emotions are at stake when writing a storybook to explain difficult topics. There is a responsibility that the author takes on when purporting to create a book with healing properties.
